Module 7 continues and is due Monday.
Here are a few reminders about your work...
  • Remember that your activities ask you to discuss your life as well as to make real-world connections.  Be sure that you concentrate on the leadership elements of your life and the real world -- no matter the activity and assignment, leadership should be your focus. Connect your ideas to your leadership journey using what you are learning in a particular module.  For example, Module 7 is about making decisions as a leader.  If you chose to do your flowchart about your college choices, you should relate those choices to your leadership journey and not just to your life journey.
  • Please connect your activities and assignments to the content. Refer to the vocabulary as well as to the concepts from the notes.  For example, many of you are using the visual from the assignment to create your Module 7 flowchart and you did a great job doing so.  To make sure your understanding of the content is clear, you should expand on that flowchart and add the elements you learned in the notes.

Today's Assignment:
  • Module 7 Lesson 2 Assignment
Module 7 Lesson 2 Assignment - Make Your Own Decision-Making Process
You have explored decision-making concepts and looked at how others have made decisions in the past. Now it is time for you to create your own process!  Think about what you have learned this week (being proactive, dealing with bias, etc.) as well as what you know about goal-setting in general.
Tips:
  • Remember to focus on leadership. What leadership decisions can you make using this process? How can each choice help you grow your leadership skills?
  • Design a decision-making model (there is a guide in your notes) that includes the steps you need to take as a leader to make decisions - consider what you need to include to make sure you make a good leadership decision.
  • You can use an application online that you are familiar with or you may draw it by hand and upload screenshots. Think through the steps carefully and you will create something that you and other leaders can use in the future!
  • Use the tips for making a flowchart at https://www.smartdraw.com/flowchart/flowchart-tips.htm (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site..
Need more information? Making decisions is not easy but practice does make permanent. If you apply a process, that process will become second-nature to you and you will make a better decision.  As you create a decision-making model that fits your needs today, click on the visual below and create a process that fits your personality. Have fun!
