Welcome back! Module 1 is due today. You should have completed all of the first day assignments, the NCVPS Getting Started Unit, and all of Module 1 Lesson 1. Refer to this week's previous announcements as well as course messages from me if you have questions. Module 2 is open for those who want to work ahead.
Got missing work? Tomorrow I will post zeros for any missing Module 1 work. Zeros are placeholders in our course - you may redo any module assignment/activity and you may turn in missing work. Sign-up for Remind by texting @ecdettman to 81010 and you will not miss a due date! But if you do...be sure you understand the NCVPS late work policy -- 10% up to 1 week (starting the minute after the due date passes), 20% up to 2 weeks late, and then 40% after the second week. Remember that those points are deducted after the work is graded.
Important Due Dates:
- Module 1 Getting Started Due August 20
- Module 2 Leadership Defined Due August 27
- Module 3 Time Management Due September 4
- Progress Report September 6
- Module 4 Leading with Integrity Due September 10
- Module 5 Leading through Relationships Due September 17

Today's Assignment:
- Module 1 Post-Assessment
What are the important ideas for this week? Before you take your post-assessment, review the entire module. Read the introductions, review your Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 notes, and take a look at your practice and assignment activities as well. Be sure to view the flashcards at the beginning of each set of notes so that you understand the vocabulary. When you take the post-assessment, remember good test-taking skills:
- Breathe before you open the assessment. Relax your body so that it will help you relax your mind.
- Read the entire question including all answers before selecting one. Look for the central idea of the question - what is the main point?
- Check over your work before you submit it. If you have a problem submitting, try once more. If you still a problem submitting the assessment, let me know and take screenshots of your intended answers.
You will use Web 2.0 tools in this course. This week you learned about Padlet and Prezi. Take a look at this Prezi while you review Module One:
