Teen leaders are not a new concept.  Throughout history, teenagers have changed the world.  Like you, teens embrace their passions and use them to help others.  Whether leading from behind the scenes or from the front lines, teen leaders make a difference. Take a look at a few who went from behind the scenes to the front lines by clicking on the image below:

Today's Assignments:
  • Module 15 Lesson 2 Notes and CYK
  • Module 15 Lesson 2 Practice Activity
Module 15 Lesson 2 Notes and CYK
Lesson 2 is Student Leaders in Action. You will meet real-world student leaders from North Carolina.  The topics include the following:  Student Leaders, Chris Suggs, Roa Selah, Bennett David, Jennifer McLain, and Choose Your Path.  Thank you for including a screenshot of your CYK that identifies which quiz you took.
Module 15 Lesson 2 Practice Activity - Teens that Lead Research
This activity asks you to research a real-world student leader.  Please avoid researching the same individuals you have learned about in the course (ex. Chris Suggs, Malala Yousafzai).  Consider teen leaders from the movements you researched in Module 13 and/or teen leaders from your school.  Notice the template includes detailed information - use the internet and/or interviews to find the answers (remember to cite your sources including interviews).  Pay close attention to this leader's mission statement, vision, and goals.
