Module 2 began yesterday and is due Friday, September 8th. As I messaged yesterday and last night, the Module 2 Lesson 1 Notes Check Your Knowledge Quiz was working...then it was not...and now it is still not working. I am omitting this quiz for all students.
Communication Reminders Within Canvas, I will communicate using Daily Announcements and Inbox Course Messages. Be sure you check both each day. Outside of Canvas, I will send due date reminders as well as other needed information (ex. CYK issue) through Remind. Be sure you sign up by texting @tcdettman to 81010. For other communication, please use your preferred method -- texting in Remind, texting in Google Voice, calling me in Google Voice, or emailing me to my Gmail account.

Module 2 Lesson 2 is about leadership traits. No matter which leadership style or theory you use for any given situation, you will exercise one or more leadership traits. Our course is developed around the traits you are learning about in this lesson. As you learn more about how each trait applies to leadership, consider the ones that fit with your strengths and the ones that fit with your weaknesses. Ready, set, lead!
Today's Assignments:
- Module 2 Lesson 2 Notes Check Your Knowledge Quiz (this CYK works!)
- Module 2 Lesson 2 Practice Activity
After you take the CYK, be sure to post a screenshot that includes as much of the quiz as you can include -- that way I see your score and which quiz you took. You might be surprised that some students post the same score screenshot for each CYK instead of taking the quizzes.
Module 2 Lesson 2 Practice Activity
You will love the video you watch in this practice activity! Derek Sivers is the founder of a music company called CD Baby which is an online CD store for independent musicians. His new project, MuckWork, aims to help musicians by offering a team of assistants to do what he calls the "uncreative dirty work." Watch with purpose. Be sure to take notes on the traits you observe so that you are ready to ace the quiz that comes after the video -- your video quiz score is your practice activity grade. I recommend that you watch the video at least twice because you will notice different things in each view.
