Week 16 is due today.
Tomorrow our 2 week final exam period begins.  Our course ends on Friday, December 16.  Please read the separate announcement posted in this forum explaining your final exam activities.  I will begin posting announcements with tips on how to complete the activities tomorrow.
I have re-opened all weeks for to allow you to catch up on any missing work.  Weeks 1-14 will close tonight so use your time wisely.  Remember that late work penalties apply to any missing work you turn in during this time.  Be sure to message me in the course when you have added a reply to any discussion board -- I do not see your replies automatically.

My job this semester was to EMPOWER you.  As I quoted in my welcome letter to you, Warren Bennis says it best:  "Becoming a leader is synonymous with becoming yourself. It is precisely that simple and it is also that difficult."  You have now completed 16 weeks of Leadership Development!  Way to go!  Remember your leadership journey began BEFORE you started this course and will continue AFTER you finish your final exam activities.   According to the Oxford Dictionary, a journey is "a long and often difficult process of personal change and development."  You began your leadership journey as a child with your first words and are now journeying through high school.  This course is now part of your journey.  What have you learned about yourself?  What have you learned about being a leader? What type of leader are you know and what type do you continue to strive to be?
Go back and read your first post about your definition and example of an effective leader.  My hope continues to be that you will hone the skills and knowledge needed to become an effective leader like the leader you described in your post.  Continue to embrace your leadership journey so that you can learn, fail, and grow.
In my feedback to you, I encouraged you to read an article about 18 tips to being a successful teen leader.  Take a moment to re-read those tips.  Which of these tips have you embraced and which do you need to continue to learn more about?  Click on the visual below to revisit those tips.
