All Week 12 work is due Monday, November 21. Remember next Thursday and Friday are holidays, so plan Week 13 work accordingly. You will still be able to work on your coursework, but you may have to between turkey!
Two very important vocabulary words this week are Commitment and Perseverance. Commitment is a pledge or promise; obligation, an agreement or pledge to do something in the future. Perseverance means a steady persistence in a course of action and the continued effort to do or achieve something. Don’t you think Commitment and Perseverance go hand in hand? Sometimes the things you commit to can be hard to carry out, but if you persevere, even when it is tough, you will satisfy the commitment.
For example, soccer practice may be really hard one afternoon and it would be so easy to tell the coach you quit and walk off the field. However, if you persevere and work through the difficult practice, you will be a much better athlete and the coach will know your dedication to your team.
As you are working on your commitment tree, think about how you will persevere when the commitments you have made aren't easy?
