Got ABCs? To be successful in our online course, follow the ABCs below:
-
Announcements - Read the Daily Announcements before you start working. They will celebrate, inform and instruct you each weekday.
-
Be Present - Login and work daily. Read all directions, rubrics, and feedback. Ask questions. Participate in the discussion boards and get to know your classmates.
-
Communicate - Check your course messages in Canvas and your texts/emails outside of Canvas. Then reply to show you got the messages.
-
Due Dates - Print the due dates and/or view them in the Canvas calendar. Plan your work and then work your plan. Late penalties will apply.
-
Empower - Empower yourself by applying what you learn about leadership to your own journey. Then pass on what you have learned to others.
Check out these tips for going through the lessons:
- Remember that the notes you read in our course are our textbook -- when you read, read with meaning. Take notes on the guided notes template or using a method that works for you. When you write down something you learn, it helps you remember it.
- Pre-read the directions and the rubric so you know what to look for as you go through the lessons.
- Make connections to your life as you go through lessons -- if an example or phrase speaks to you, use it to help you complete your assignments.
- Remember to look for the weekly vocabulary in the lessons as well. They always show up in your post-assessment!

Module 3 Lesson 1 Assignment Weekly Planner
This assignment puts what you have learned in Lesson 1 about time management to the test and asks you to create and reflect on a weekly planner.
Tips for Your Weekly Planner:
This assignment puts what you have learned in Lesson 1 about time management to the test and asks you to create and reflect on a weekly planner.
Tips for Your Weekly Planner:
- Complete the entire planner. You may use a previous week or plan an upcoming week.
- Be detailed. If you devote a block of time to studying, write down what and where you will study. Note: You do not have to write down what you are eating - meals do not have to be detailed:)
- In your reflection, be sure to discuss what "a-has" you have experienced. Consider how you now see urgent and important as opposed to how you saw them before the lesson.
- Address the tips and ideas from the lesson that you have applied. Reflect on what you need to do differently moving forward. Even people who are already good time managers can learn to manage time better.
- I am looking for your knowledge of time management - what have you learned from the notes, the practice activity, and the weekly planner you created?
