Got Final Exam Worries?
For your final exam, you will have 3 activities to complete.  Each activity is weighted equally and totals 20% of your final grade.  Here are the activities:
  1. Leadership CV (Curriculum Vitae) and Cover Letter
  2. Empowerment Discussion Board
  3. 50-question Assessment
You can prepare for your final by doing the following:
  • Plan ahead.  Be sure you schedule enough time to complete your exam activities.  They should take the same amount of time as a module's worth of work.
  • Review each module lesson.  Identify topics you did not understand well and go back over them.
  • Review your assignments.  Choose the ones for which you are most proud and that best represent your leadership journey.   You will need those assignments for your CV.
  • Assess your leadership goals as well as your leadership traits and skills.  Reflect on where you began, where you are, and where you want to be.  All of the information will be used in your CV/cover letter and/or your discussion board posts.
  • To get ready for the discussion board, review quality replies.  Think about what you want to hear in order to motivate you to move forward with your goals.

Today's Assignment:
  • Module 13 Post-Assessment
Module 13 Post-Assessment

Take a few minutes to review the notes and any guided notes you created. Review the vocabulary found at the beginning of each lesson notes. Then take the post-assessment. While you take it, read each question and answer choice twice. Eliminate the answers you know are not correct and then choose the best answer based on your understanding. Taking this post-assessment is not only part of your grade, but it is also good practice for the multiple choice portion of your final exam.
Need More Information?
This week you have explored state and local leadership.  As you move forward, consider the importance of local leadership.  Which research was more enlightening - state or local?  For most students, finding local leaders offers the biggest a-has.  I encourage you to stay connected to your local community and to follow-through with the community service ideas you included in your work.  While it is easy to be upset by what state and national leaders do or do not do, it is really the local leaders who impact your daily life.  Take a moment to read an editorial from the New York Times about the importance of local leadership.  To access the article, click on the visual below:
