Today's Assignments:
- Module 5 Lesson 1 Assignment
Module 5 Lesson 1 Assignment - Group Work Contract
Once you find your assigned Module 5 Group by clicking on the Groups icon in the far left menu, explore your group's homepage. Read the announcement about group work and review the group work smore (https://www.smore.com/nhp78). Then participate in the get-to-know-your-group discussion that has been started for you. Finally, work with your teammates to complete the template.

Tips for the Getting to Know You Discussion:
- Introduce yourselves - if you know one another, share something new.
- Discuss schedules and availability.
- Designate a group member as project manager and one as editor. While all group members will post to the template, having a manager to oversee the organization and an editor to review for understanding/errors makes the activity run smoothly.
- Set goals for completing the contract by the deadline. Be sure to account for any issues (ex. weather).
- Decide who will turn in the group work by the deadline - only 1 person turns in the assignment for the entire group.
- Determine the application you will use to complete the template. I recommend Google Drive. To learn about how to link Google Drive to your group's homepage, view the group work smore at https://www.smore.com/nhp78-got-group-work.
Tips for Completing the Template:
- Follow the directions - the Group Contract template has directions for each section.
- Remember to reference the notes when applicable.
- Explain all ideas where required.
- All group members should participate. Add your name and the color you will use to add your ideas at the top of the template. Then add your ideas using your chosen color. It is also a good idea to include the date as well so it is clear when you added/edited.
- If a problem arises, start by looking at your lesson notes as well as the group work smore for tips. Then discuss the problem with your group. If you cannot resolve it, contact me. I have access to your group homepages and will be checking in beginning today.
