Wow...we are starting Week 6! Module 12 is due Wednesday and Module 13 is due Friday.
Got missing points? I want to give you full credit but I cannot do so if you are not posting quality work. Remember that anything worth doing is worth doing well! Read my feedback and follow the rubric to see how to get full credit. If you are confused about what to do on an assignment, read the directions and read the notes again. Then read the assignment directions and rubric - using fresh eyes usually increases your understanding.
Got missing work? Our course ends Friday, August 10. If you are behind, you need to make a plan and catch up. Go to your grade book and make a list of your missing assignments. Divide the number of assignments you have by the number of days left in the course -- that number represents how many assignments you should be doing each day IN ADDITION TO your required work for the week. Remember to use the old announcements to help you with completing your work.
Final Exam Activities open Monday, August 6. You got this!

In Lesson One, you will examine the role of dreams in your leadership journey. To be a visionary leader, you must dream big. Steve Tappin, CEO and Coach, uses the Oxford Dictionary's definition of dream: "a cherished hope or ideal; a fantasy." He works with companies around the world to help their teams learn to dream together. His ideas are applicable to you as an individual as well. Take a look at two exercises he uses to help others visualize their leadership as well as their life dreams:
Exercise #1: So What is Your Dream?
Capture your dream in a few sentences. The more relaxed you are, the more your imagination will flow so turn on your favorite music or watch your favorite movie. Finish starter statements like "What I would love to happen..." and "My impact on the world could be..."
Exercise #2: Conviction and Belief
Think of your dream and then ask yourself "why is it important." Keep asking yourself why until you figure out what led you to dream this dream.

Module 11 Lesson 1 Notes
Lesson 1 is Visionary Leading. The topics in your notes include From a Dream to a Vision, From Vision to Leadership, Vestergaard Frandsen, Mother Teresa, Steve Jobs, and How do you become a visionary leader? Be sure to take a screenshot that includes identifying features of the quiz so it is clear which quiz you are taking.
Module 11 Lesson 1 Practice Assignment
This activity is called Dreaming Big because it asks you to do just that...dream big! Download the template and then record 20 things you would like to do in your life (including leadership dreams). Then pick 3 you will work on first. Be sure to refer to the content. What do you learn in Lesson 1 notes that you can apply to make your dreams come true? Which of the tips like dream often, surround yourself with a strong support system or persevere can you apply to your reflection?
