Today's Assignment:
- Module 8 Lesson 1 Assignment
Ever wondered what it would be like if a someone from the past someone from today? What would they discuss? What advice would they offer one another? Today's assignment is your chance to bring together the past with the present by planning out a dinner party and crafting a dialogue between global leaders. There will be 3 leaders attending your dinner party - the leader you researched in yesterday's practice activity and a current leader we did not study in Lesson 1 (no sports figures or celebrities, please). Before you plan your dinner party, research the current leader you chose - you may use the template from the practice activity as a guide but you are not required to turn in your research about your second leader. Now that you have researched both leaders attending your dinner party, consider who you would send in for a cameo to make the conversation more lively or just to add a flare of fun - which other global leader from Lesson 1 would have something to say and/or share with your main 2 leaders? Now plan your party and create your dialogue. Download the template and complete each section of the dinner party plan. Then use your research about both main leaders to guide your composition of a conversation. Write out the dialogue that would take place between these two leaders. Be sure to use your research and share your knowledge of how global leaders use leadership skills/styles/themes. Your dialogue must clearly show you understand the topic (i.e. war, terrorism, civil disobedience) as well. Be creative and let your inner playwright shine through!
