Since 2009, the NCVPS Peer Tutoring Center has been helping students like you with all the features of online learning at the North Carolina Virtual Public School! All Peer Tutors and Virtual Buddies have completed at least one NCVPS course successfully and have a recommendation of an NCVPS instructor. The PTC offers many services to help support NCVPS students. Whether you need content specific help with a particular concept in your course or you need a little extra motivation, help with time management, or help from the new writing center, the PTC has you covered.

The PTC offers tutors to help you with content and buddies to help you with everything else:
Virtual Buddies are ready to help by lending a hand to students needing an extra little push, another reminder, a bit of time management guidance or encouraging words throughout the week. Do keep in mind, Virtual Buddies do not provide content specific support. While we do try to match students with a Virtual Buddy with experience in their course, we cannot guarantee it.
Our Peer Tutors are students just like you! They have strong working knowledge of the courses in which they tutor and a recommendation from an NCVPS teacher. Peer Tutors can help you better understand your course structure and course content. They are only an appointment away in Upswing! Once you make contact with a Peer Tutor, you may want to schedule a regular tutoring time so that you can stay on top of your course. Our Peer Tutors are available for Quick Questions and long term tutoring.
