Integrity is the backbone of leadership. In today's world, it is not easy to be a leader with integrity. From social media to television and movies, our culture celebrates dishonesty and deceit. To be a leader, you have to recognize what is real and what is fictional. Today's assignment gives you the chance to do that by creating your own superhero along with the story of how he/she became a leader with integrity. It is your turn to offer our culture an alternative to the dishonesty and deceit that is often celebrated today. To help you get into the mindset of a superhero, click on the visual below and read the article "Awaken Your Inner Superhero: How to Become the Best You in the Universe:"
Today's Assignments:
- Module 4 Lesson 1 Assignment - Create Your Own Leadership Superhero
This assignment allows you to be creative while you showcase your understanding of integrity. Your practice activity yesterday asked you to identify and offer examples of the top 5 integrity principles you think a leader should exemplify. Today you will roll those top 5 into your superhero's story. Use the template to plan your comic. Remember to focus on leadership as you plan -- align your story with how your superhero grew his/her integrity. Be careful not to get too caught up in the side stories. You will be creating 4 panels so be sure your panels have enough information to clearly tell how your superhero became a leader with integrity. Once you have planned your comic, create your comic using the free tool called Toondoo. Use the link to the Toondoo tutorial in the assignment as well as the screencasts below to get you started:
