Week 15 began yesterday and is due next Monday.  Enjoy your short week at school and have a wonderful holiday break!
NCVPS is closed Thursday and Friday of this week for the Thanksgiving holiday.  You will be able to access the course as usual during the break -- Week 15 is due Monday, November 28.
We have 2 new weeks of course material left in our course and then 2 weeks of final exam activities.  Our course ends on Friday, December 16.
I will be re-opening all weeks for one week before final exams to allow you to catch up on any missing work -- please mark your calendars for  November 28-December 5 and plan accordingly.

As you complete lessons 1 and 2, it is important to understand the historical context of a president's decision.  President Wilson was elected to the office of president on the promise "He kept us out of war."  What happened from the time he was elected to 1917 to change the course of American history?  Read the following account of President Wilson's decision to ask Congress for a declaration of war in 1917.  What reasons did he outline for going to war?  Did revenge for the sinking of the Lusitania or the sending of the Zimmerman telegram show up in his speech?  If not, what were President Wilson's reasons for asking the US to go to war?  What leadership qualities did he portray? Click on the link below to find out.
