Week 7 is due tomorrow night and Week 8 is due on Friday. As I do each Tuesday, I will be posting a progress report tonight that is shared with your school.
Be sure you read my feedback in the gradebook for your assignments. Feedback is designed to do the following:
- make connections to your ideas
- offer tips for improvement
- share resources to extend your learning
- help your leadership journey
- encourage dialogue with your teacher and your classmates
This week you will be learning about "
eating frogs." The video you will watch is based on a book by Brian Tracy. Here are a few of the principles from his book that inspire the things you will see in the video:
- The ability to concentrate single-mindedly on your most important task, to do it well and to finish it completely, is the key to great success, achievement, respect, status and happiness in life.
- You need three key qualities to develop the habits of focus and concentration. They are all learnable. They are decision, discipline
and determination.
- One of the very worst uses of time is to do something very well that need not be done at all.
- Goals are the fuel in the furnace of achievement.
- Your weakest key result area sets the height at which you can use all your other skills and abilities.
- Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field.
- By the yard it's hard; but inch by inch, anything is a cinch!
- Difficulties come not to obstruct, but to instruct.
- You can only get your time and your life under control to the degree to which you discontinue lower value activities.

Shout out to Parker! He is consistent, insightful, and open-minded -- all qualities that a leader needs to be to embrace growth!
Shout out to Noe! He is making connections between the course and his life...even during this hot summer!
