Week 9 is due on Wednesday. Weeks 10 & 11 have a combined due date so instead of being due Friday, they will be due Monday. Keep in mind that Week 12 will still be due on Wednesday and Week 13 on Friday of the same week.
Our course ends Friday, August 12. If you are behind, you need to make a plan and catch up. If you wish to finish early, go ahead and look at Weeks 17 & 18 so you are mentally preparing for your final exam activities. You got this!
Week 9 Assignment Tips:
Falling Forward - The readings built into our course are our textbook -- be sure you READ carefully. Dr. Maxwell offers the idea that failure is really success in this article. There are 5 questions and questions 1-4 have MULTIPLE parts that you should answer. For #1, list an example, state if you were surprised, and in detail explain why or why not. For #2, be sure you explain what the quote means and then state why you agree or disagree. #3 asks you to explain a mistake you blamed on someone else, state why you blamed, address if you were able to improve, and discuss HOW you moved forward after the mistake.
Leading Through Adversity - After carefully READING the article, answer the 5 questions in full. #1 has 2 parts, #2 has 2 parts, #3 has 2 parts, #4 has 2 parts, and #5 asks you to take what you have learned and find a quote on the internet that summarizes what the article has taught you. Be sure you credit your source.
Rags to Riches - This assignment requires you to research the life of someone famous who experienced failure before success. Your biography must be 300 of YOUR OWN WORDS -- do NOT cut and paste from another resource and remember the questions do not count towards your 300 requirement. Be sure your 300 word post answers each part of each of the questions. This assignment offers you the chance to use your vocabulary and to easily connect to the weekly topic. If you chose to do a biography on someone off the list, please get my approval first -- text me at 919-435-2008.
Turning Failure Into Learning Discussion Board - For this week's forum, you will post your assignment and then comment on at least ONE of your classmates. Your post (like journals) should be at least 150 words and should incorporate your knowledge of failure from this week's readings. Remember to post quality work and quality replies to classmates.
Confident and Trusting Journal - Honestly answer the question -- remember that saying you never do is not acceptable. Connect your journal to this week's topic of failure as well as to your leadership journey -- how will your knowledge of failure help you be a more effective leader? Remember to focus on being a better LEADER.

Way to go, Teresa! I am so glad you are back on schedule!
Way to go, Taija! She is consistent and turns work in on time for each module!
